Nothing is more central to our lives as Christians than love.  We are told that God is love, that love comes from God, that we are loved by God and that we should love others in the same way that He loves us.  Our faith is build on two commands: to love God with our whole hearts and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We are even challenged to love our enemies.  Therefore, it makes sense that we seek to ground everything we do in a robust and authentic love.

Our efforts to live missionally are deeply motivated by love for those whom Christ died.  Any other motive, however well-intentioned, will do more harm than good.
