Update for In-Person Worship.

This is an email that was sent out on July 17th regarding in-person worship, please read it and watch the video for all the details.

In-Person Worship Option

We are excited to announce that Sunday, August 2 we intend to add to our current Sunday morning Live Stream worship an opportunity for those who would like to join us in-person. Remember, any gatherings, even with safety practices in place, contain risk. So please, especially if you are in a high risk category, consider continuing to worship via Live Stream in your home or as part of a small group/house church participating in the Live Stream together. Here is what you need to know if you plan to join us in-person. Know that we all grieve the realities we face during this season but also hold a responsibility to be as wise as possible during this time.

1: Call or email the SRC office (office@standalerc.org) to RSVP for the upcoming Sunday by Friday at 10:00 am. The building capacity will be limited in order to practice social distancing. Reservations allow us to know when we reach capacity ahead of time vs. having to turn people away that morning.
2: Everyone will enter from the glass doors on the lower level and proceed immediately to the sanctuary. (If you need a handicap entrance, just note that when you RSVP so that one of the ushers can accommodate that.)
3: Masks are required to be worn during the entire time you are in the building (everyone older than 5). Even with distancing, in order to have singing as part of worship masks need to be worn the entire service.
4: Hand sanitizer will be available for your use around the building.
5: At this time we are not able to provide childcare. Children are welcome to stay with you in the pew.
6: Offerings can be dropped off at the entrance of the main aisle. (Passing offering plates also passes germs.)
7: Once in the sanctuary, you will be seated by an usher who will walk you to your seat. The ushers will be making sure everyone is spaced out safely.
8: Please make sure you are social distancing. We can pass the peace verbally but please no hand shaking or hugging, etc.
9: At the close of the service everyone will exit out the front doors. No lingering in the sanctuary please.
10: All other parts of the building will be closed off so we don’t need to sanitize the entire building each week.
11: We will not be able to have coffee and fellowship time.
12: Restrooms will be available if needed and are regularly cleaned. But be mindful it is best if use is avoided.

Here is a video as we know that written communication doesn’t always display tone, spirit and body language: https://youtu.be/kVGh1F5AMws

Know that we care deeply for each one of you and are grateful for the ways we have been able to begin to see many of you in a variety of ways over the last few weeks.

In Christ,
Pastor Jess and Pastor Matt
