Palm Sunday, March 28, 9:30 am

For children who will be joining us for in-person worship, palm branches will be available in the lobby for the traditional procession of the Palms during the opening song of worship. All ages are welcome!

For those who will be joining us via Livestream, palms will be available at the front handicap (glass door) entrance for pick up on Friday, March 26, noon-9:00 pm, and Saturday, March 27, 7:00 am-9:00 pm so that children can create their own procession. If you are participating from home, we’d love for you to take a photo of your child(ren) during their procession through your house/yard, and post it on the church Facebook page or in the Livestream link so that we can all enjoy their smiling faces!

Maundy Thursday, Thursday, April 1, 7:00 pm

A Service of Reading and Song by Karla Bowe, Beth Disselkoen, and Faye Dykema

Maundy comes from the Latin word mandatum, meaning “command.” On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus shared the Last Supper with his disciples and gave them a new commandment to “love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34).

On this Maundy Thursday, we will look at the Old and New Testament requirements of the Paschal (Passover) Lamb. In the experience of darkness and silence, Christ’s eventual death is represented by the Christ candle being temporarily removed from the sanctuary. After a few minutes, the Christ candle will be brought back as a foretaste of the resurrection we will celebrate on Easter.

We will also receive the gift of Christ’s sacrifice through the through the sacrament of communion.

Easter Sunday, April 4, 9:30 am

Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Miss Jan (Hankamp) will be “in the house” to share our annual Easter Children’s Sermon during worship.

Goodies on your way out…. McFamily Treats!

Following worship (and weather permitting), we will do an easter egg hunt for children.
