LUKE 3:11
Deep in our DNA is a desire to reach and serve our neighbors. We hope to meet and reach out to our neighbors respectfully, where they are--listening, empathizing, meeting needs and inviting neighbors into the freedom of Christ we enjoy ourselves. We want to model the selfless love of Christ, that puts others before ourselves.
Check out the ways we are living into our mission and striving to REACH our neighbors:

We have a strong tie to our local elementary school. The school is Cummings Elementary, a part of the Grandville School district.
Check out the ways we're supporting the kids in our community!

Studies have shown that many students who receive free or reduced meals at school go hungry over the weekend; we bring a bag of groceries to students at Cummings Elementary to help solve this problem. SRC was the first church in West Michigan to start this type of program and many churches have since started similar ministries. We bring about 15 bags and 15 snacks for students each week.

For children, elementary years are critical for their development, as they form values, establish self-esteem, and acquire academic skills. We partner with Cummings Elementary to bring Kids Hope mentors to local students. This program fosters transformative relationships between a student and an additional caring and consistent adult, empowering them to thrive.

The Heart of Neighboring is a nonprofit affiliated with Standale Reformed Church, whose mission is "Loving and leading people to a brighter future". Their main programs include a Beyond School Program, offering mental health services for our community, and facilitating a community garden.

The completely free program offers mentorship, social/emotional learning support, life skills, and ordinary experiences that at-risk children may not experience (zoo, aquarium, etc.).
We strive to demonstrate the unconditional love of Christ so that our students might come to understand the love God has for them. It is our mission to love and lead children to a better and brighter future by equipping them with the tools that they need to be successful.

With just an hour or two weekly, we aim to cultivate food, flowers, and friendship. The days and times are posted near the bridge between the church parking lot and the garden. Come join us—you'll enjoy spending time with others while helping with simple gardening tasks.
We invite community members to share in the harvest bounty of the garden. Available to all for free, vegetables are left on the food stand by the garden.
Enjoy an opportunity to relax and reflect: we have a garden bench and other seating by the trees that you are welcome to use at any time.

Our ReachOut Team is involved in organizing our efforts to missionally serve our community. The ReachOut Team is behind our efforts at Matthew's House, 20 Liters, Feeding America, Grace's Table, and Servant's Community Church, multiple local ministries we’ve partnered with, and they are thinking creatively about new ways we can be the hands and feet of Jesus.

We have continued working with Matthew’s House Ministry by providing donations, as well as lunches and breakfast. Matthew’s House offers biblical direction to families in need, providing a safe environment, programs, and services to promote self-sufficiency and independence.

We have partnered with Servant’s Community Church to assist with building improvement projects. Recently, we provided a team of volunteers to upgrade their parsonage. Servant’s Community Church, a Reformed Church, is located in Grand Rapids.
Pastor Kyle and our congregation want to walk by your side prayerfully through life's highs and lows. Whether you have a celebration or a concern, please let us know how we can pray for you.
